Senior Men travel to France

January 16, 2018

On Wednesday night the team faced off against French National League side ACBB Handball (Athletic Club Boulogne Billancourt) who were preparing for the restart of the French league at the end of January. It was an excellent contest throughout with the Canadians staying close throughout and eventually ceding the match by a 27-23 score. The second match will take place on Thursday at 3pm EST. Results will be posted on Twitter @HandballCanada and Facebook @HandballCanada.

The Senior Men's National Team are currently in France this past week for a training camp and series of exhibition games against French clubs.

Led by Head Coach Alexis Bertrand, the team has been preparing the foundation for a big 2018 that will include multiple qualification tournaents including the 2019 Pan American Games in Peru. With France having won both the men's and women's World Championships in 2017 in addition to having one of the best handball leagues in the world, it is the ideal nation for Canada to kickstart the program.
